About the Role

The Clerks Administrator position is in the Department of Program Services, Court Services Office (CSO), Operations Division, Operations Branch. CSO is responsible for managing court administration and case management of resources, programs, and services. The Clerks Administrator serves as the primary point of contact for clerks of court and provides daily direction and assistance in the programs and policies affecting the operations and efficiency of court clerks' offices and circuit units.

What You'll Do

  • The Department of Program Services, Court Services Office (CSO), Operations Division, Operations Branch is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Clerks Administrator.
  • The Clerks Administrator serves as the primary point of contact for clerks of court and provides daily direction and assistance to court clerks' offices and appellate and circuit court units.
  • The incumbent must possess outstanding interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and written and oral communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced and multifaceted environment.
  • The duties of the position may include, but are not limited to: Serving as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for assigned court unit executives and staff within designated circuits, providing comprehensive guidance across all areas of court operations, case management, and administrative functions.
  • Developing and disseminating procedures, guidelines, and operational information through conferences, training seminars, publications, and direct consultation.
  • Drafting and maintaining business processes and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
  • Functioning as CSO's primary liaison to a variety of executive advisory groups, including developing agendas, coordinating phone status conferences, taking notes, and preparing and distributing meeting summaries.
  • Representing CSO and the Operations Branch at judicial nominee and new chief judge orientations, presenting on CSO's role within the judiciary, and preparing circuit staffing profiles.
  • Providing analytical support for appellate, bankruptcy, and district court staffing allocations.
  • Developing and disseminating procedures, guidelines, training, and court operational information through conferences, formal training seminars, publications, memoranda, and telephone contacts.
  • Logging and tracking operational support inquiries in the CSO issue tracker system.
  • Leading and coordinating planning and execution of CSO-hosted national conferences, including new unit executive and deputy orientations, court unit executive and deputy operational and administrative conferences, operational practices forums, and other assigned national convenings.
  • Assisting in planning and facilitating the new unit executive and deputy orientation program.
  • Managing the development and use of SharePoint sites and solutions to facilitate information sharing and document best practices across the office.

  • Failure to successfully complete the trial period may result in termination of employment.
  • If appointed to a temporary position, management may have the discretion of converting the position to permanent depending upon funding and staffing allocation.
