About the Position: Serve as the Chief of Staff, US European Command (EUCOM), J4 Logistics Directorate, responsible for oversight, coordination, and synchronization efforts between J4 divisions and the Director. Primarily responsible for the directorate's consistent achievement of its mission and functions, prioritization of work, financial solvency, and program development and administration.
What You'll Do
- →Provide oversight, program direction, and leadership of the directorate, coordinating and synchronizing efforts of five divisions to ensure operational end-state is achieved.
- →Directly supervise and rate front office personnel, military, and Division Chiefs.
- →Assign work via the Task Management Tool (TMT) or verbal/written orders to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty, and requirements of the assignment.
- →Responsible for the entire budgetary process (e.g., program objective memorandums (POM), integrated priority lists (IPL), annual spend plan development), coordinating efforts between this and other directorates (e.g., J5, J8, Comptroller).
- →Represent the directorate to the highest standard with senior US military, government, and international leadership.
- →Work with the staff, GCC comptroller and program/resource management staff, and the contract management board to prepare the directorate's annual and out-year budget.
- →Participate in the development and implementation of both short- and long-term operational, administrative, and budgetary policy, plans, goals, and objectives for the directorate.
