About the Role
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a CHAPLAIN, Position Description Number PDD2465000 and is part of the WY 153d Airlift Wing, Wyoming Air National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.
What You'll Do
- →This position is in the 153d Airlift Wing's Commander's Staff and is the highest full-time level authorized with oversight over the entire full-time chaplain program during non "M-Day" days at location.
- →This position exhibits full professional maturity for the various religious programs the employee is responsible for. 1.
- →Program Management: Manages the Wing Chaplain Services program in accordance with National Guard Chaplain Service program goals and objectives.
- →Oversees the execution of the Airman Ministry Plan (AMP) for Air National Guard Personnel. 2.
- →Training: Training is the cornerstone of preparation for military operations.
- →Employee reviews training strategies that address, a) the technical and tactical proficiencies of the wing National Chaplain Service personnel, b) quality of life programs for National Guard personnel and their families, c) needs of other Chaplain Service constituencies (civilian clergy, non-government organizations (NGO), etc.). 3.
- →Readiness and Deployment: Ensures Chaplain support is provided to National Guard personnel and their families through the full spectrum of the deployment cycle (mobilization, deployment, employment, redeployment, and reconstitution). 4.
- →Direct Religious Support to Personnel: Provides and/or coordinates religious support to National Guard personnel and their families. ** This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. **
Requirements
- ✓KEY REQUIREMENTS: Open to current active-duty Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard members.
- ✓Must submit vMPF Rip, DVR, or CDB with resume Must become a military member of the Wyoming Air Nat'l Guard before appt.

- ✓Federal employment suitability is determined by a background investigation.
- ✓Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible.
- ✓Subject to funding and TAG approval.
- ✓PCS costs are not authorized.
- ✓Must be willing to relocate at own expense if selected.
- ✓EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT).
- ✓Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses.
- ✓Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives.
