About the Role

About the Position: This position is a Deputy Aviation Officer position in Wiesbaden, Germany, responsible for managing all aspects of U.S. Army aviation activities throughout the USAREUR-AF area of responsibility. The role involves overseeing operations, safety, training, and policy, and serving as a principal subject matter expert on all aviation programs.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for directing and advising all USAREUR-AF Army Aviation activities, covering standardization, safety, operations, training, air traffic services, flight simulations, air movement, and policy.
  • Oversee the development and administration of the Aviation Division budget to include the prioritization of funds to be utilized for aviation programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with heads of other organizations to negotiate and/or coordinate work related changes affecting other organizations, developing aviation program concepts to ensure aviation support for USAREUR-AF operational plans and missions.
  • Provide Aviation and subject matter expertise on all aspects of Army Aviation to leadership and other high-level officials.
  • Facilitate the development and publishing of all Aviation related policy, coordinating with HQ Department of the Army (HQDA) and component commands on all Aviation matters involving USAREUR-AF interests.
  • Coordinate aviation airspace, regulations, and policies with Host Nation aviation authorities regarding airspace policies/regulations, agreements, and out of sector support missions to advance the objectives of the USAREUR-AF aviation program.
  • Serve as the Aviation Officer, In the director's absence or as directed, with oversight of administrative and technical functions, exercising delegated supervisory authorities and responsibilities over assigned personnel.
