Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below for IMPORTANT additional information. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Deputy Chief of Staff in directing Air Force-wide manpower, personnel, and services programs and policies.
What You'll Do
- →As the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel, and Services, you will share full responsibility with the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS), Personnel, for a comprehensive portfolio of human resource management functions.
- →You will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of the Air Force's human capital and providing leadership over a wide range of personnel programs and activities.
- →You will: Direct the formulation, and execution of long-range strategic plans for the accession, retention, development, compensation, and separation of Air Force military and civilian personnel.
- →Oversee the creation and implementation of policies and programs designed to achieve strategic personnel objectives, ensuring compliance with guidance from the Secretary of the Air Force and Chief of Staff.
- →Lead the acquisition and justification of financial, material, and manpower resources through the Planning, Programming, and Budgeting System (PPBS) to support Air Force-wide personnel programs.
- →Exercise executive managerial control over military and civilian personnel.
- →Drive initiatives for personnel development, ensure a diverse workforce, and enforce equal opportunity and treatment.
- →Represent the Air Force and act as a key liaison with officials from the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), other military departments, legislative agencies, and professional organizations on personnel matters.
Requirements
- ✓A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is highly desired.
- ✓A master's or other advanced degree is highly desired.
