What You'll Do
- →Serves as the Assistant Chief of Staff, (ACoS, G8), U.S.
- →Army Pacific.
- →USARPAC, a major command for Department of Army, exercises Army mission responsibilities in Pacific (36 nations and territories).
- →Army Pacific (USARPAC)Commanding General (CG) and Deputy Commanding General/Chief of Staff provide extremely broad policy and program guidance and consult with the incumbent on various technical and specialized matters relating to Command Resources Management (RM) program.
- →Command strength is approximately 106,000 Soldiers, 11,400 Army Civilians, and 78,000 Family Members.
- →USARPAC is comprised of three regionally aligned Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs) and seven functionally aligned Theater Enabling Commands (TECs).
- →Administration of the $2.0 billion Command budget involves five appropriations, funding and associated controls for two currencies, and distribution made to seven Funding Allowance Document (FAD) holders.
- →Oversees a staff of 62 employees and has direct supervision over 3.
- →Incumbent is responsible for program accomplishment, and work is reviewed in terms of overall effectiveness in accomplishing missions.
Requirements
- ✓CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Must be a U.S.

- ✓One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- ✓You will serve a one-year probationary period unless you have previously completed the probationary period in the SES.

- ✓You must be able to submit and pass designated and/or Random Drug Testing as required.

- ✓You must be able to obtain/maintain the appropriate clearance and access level for this position.
- ✓Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- ✓Direct deposit of pay is required.
- ✓The incumbent is required to travel on both scheduled and unscheduled aircraft, and other modes as required, under conditions specified under the DoD Joint Travel Regulations.
- ✓The incumbent is expected to travel on short notice to attend high level meetings to obtain resolution of problems and gather information to assist in the decision-making process.
- ✓Mobility: An essential element of the SES is mobility across geographic, organizational and functional lines.
