What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a Flight Management Specialist responsible for planning, analyzing, coordinating, managing, and flight following unconventional and complex USEUCOM validated requirements supporting the President, JCS, DoD, and non-DoD agencies on a 24 hour, 365-day basis in the USEUCOM area of responsibility and worldwide.
- →Implements directive and tasking from government agencies for the movement of national and international resources in response to peacetime/wartime needs, contingencies, exercises, aeromedical evacuations, and humanitarian relief efforts.
- →DUTIES: Accomplishes flight planning.
- →Plans, produces, files (with EUROCONTROL, FAA and other Air Traffic Control Agencies), and transmits electronic flight planning products necessary to execute air mobility missions supporting JCS, DoD, or non-DoD agencies typically characterized as unpredictable and unconventional.
- →Develops the operations schedule for the 100th Air Refueling Wing.
- →Integrates wing support requirements, aircraft, and aircrew availability to ensure flying schedule execution.
- →Plans, schedules, coordinates, and executes short and long range air refueling requirements, missions and associated scheduling activities.
- →Resolves operational issues affecting unconventional and complex mission legs, and evaluates the mission impact of delays and/or cancellations.
- →Keeps USAFE, AOC, and Wing senior staff apprised of status and developments for assigned missions.
- →Serves as a lead subject matter expert advising senior USAFE and Wing staff on a variety of air mobility operational issues.
