This position is located in the Farm Service Agency, Deputy Administrator for Farm Programs, Conservation Division. The incumbent serves as the program manager of the Conservation Reserve Program Manager with full and independent responsibility for program planning, development, and implementation.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as the General Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) Manager with full and independent responsibility for program planning, development, delivery, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with Congressional intent and USDA strategic goals.
- →Responsible for developing and implementing program provisions, policies, and methods designed to accomplish statutory objectives in the most effective and compliant manner.
- →Provides authoritative program oversight on a national scale, including assessing State and county operations, identifying necessary corrective actions, and directing procedural improvements.
- →Provides policy guidance and technical direction to headquarters staff, state office specialists, and county offices ensuring consistent interpretation and application of statutes, regulations, and policy.
- →Reviews legislative proposals to interpret Congressional intent, assess national impacts, and develop recommendations.
- →Develops and applies methodologies to evaluate program performance, operational effectiveness, and policy outcomes, and recommends regulatory or procedural changes based on findings.
Requirements

- ✓We will verify your education accordingly.
- ✓Foreign Education: You must submit verification that education completed in a foreign institution, was recognized by an accreditation body accepted by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education.
- ✓You must include a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency with your transcript.
- ✓There are private organizations that specialize in this evaluation and a fee is normally associated with this service.
- ✓For a list of private organizations that evaluate education, visit the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) website.
- ✓Your transcripts must be in English or include an English translation.
- ✓You may submit an unofficial copy of your transcript at the initial phase of the application process.
