About the Role
About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, DIR of Emergency on Camp Foster, Okinawa Japan. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Serves as the Forensic Healthcare Program Medical Director and Forensic Healthcare Program Manager (FHP-D/M) to ensure patients within the Military Health System receive proper forensic nursing care in accordance with local and national policies.
- →Conduct targeted medical forensic healthcare examinations for patients reporting sexual assault or other unwanted physical violence.
- →Ensure a high level of health care for patients with chronic and acute illnesses and injury.
- →Participate in patient education to promote the effective involvement of patients in their care.
- →Oversee the process for approval of travel in support of the Forensic Healthcare team.
- →Develop and presents formal and informal briefings and presentations at multiple levels.
- →Provides leadership, mentoring and consultation to the MTF and installation leadership.
- →Provide educational services to Sexual Assault Response Program (SAPR), Sexual Assault Response Coordinators (SARCs), Victim Advocates (VA), Family Advocacy Program (SAP).
- →Provide Emergency Nursing care to Emergency Department patients when not performing Forensic Nursing responsibilities.
