You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST (Transportation Officer) in the Warfighter Defense & System Integration Department (W), Operations and Integration Division (W5), Operations Material & Supply Office (W53) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-11 and GS-12.
What You'll Do
- →You will generate and review shipping documentation, schedule shippers and pick-ups, review associated documents for accuracy, resolve schedule, shipper or financial/billing issues that emerge while observing applicable transportation requirements.
- →You will be responsible for determining transportation modes based on the safety data sheets.
- →You will be responsible for oversight compliance with Department of State, Department of Transportation and Department of Defense regulations on transporting weapons, and materials and equipment.
- →You will identify transportation priorities based on multiple customer requirements, destinations and funding to ensure mission accomplishment.
- →You will instruct others on how to reconcile bills, will act as the certification official for debts on behalf of the government and shall work with Contracts and the Comptroller's office on any issues that are identified.
Requirements
- ✓In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: For the NT-04: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
- ✓OR Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

- ✓The percentage of the required education plus percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent.
