This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Mid-Atlantic Healthcare Network (VISN 6), Salisbury VA Medical Center (VAMC), Audiology & Speech Pathology Service (ASPS), Salisbury, North Carolina.
What You'll Do
- →The position is responsible for the administrative management of the Audiology & Speech Pathology Service (including programs based at satellite clinics) with final authority resting with the Service Chief.
- →Duties include but are not limited to: Responsibility for providing and obtaining a variety of management services essential to the direction and operation of the Audiology & Speech Pathology Service.
- →Require extensive knowledge and understanding of management principles, practices, methods and techniques, and skill in integrating management services with the general management of the medical center.
- →Assists in strategic planning, creating and maintaining statistical data for decision-making purposes, develop and monitor cost effective programs, and develop methods and tools to evaluate program activities and effectiveness.
- →Coordinates activities, performs trending and evaluative work associated with service departments.
- →Administers space and equipment programs.
- →Reviews outgoing correspondence for determination of accuracy of information, proper composition, proper format, and whether such correspondence conforms to current VA policies, instructions and regulations, as well as the viewpoint of the supervisor.
- →Provides advice regarding composition of correspondence and furnishes information regarding procedures, directives, and policies to services/programs that function under the supervision of the Audiology & Speech Pathology Service Chief (or designee), as requested.
- →Maintains confidentiality of all office matters and executes discretion in the release of all information.
- →Charged with the responsibility of operating within the authorized budget.
- →Analyzing, evaluating, advising and coordinating administrative and clinical activities associated with the successful outcome of efforts to improve patient access to VA Healthcare.
- →Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pmVirtual: This is not a virtual position.
