What You'll Do
- →The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) at Patrick Force Base, FL is searching for an Information System Security Manager to support SLD 45/SC (NH-2210-03, GS12/13 Equivalent).
- →Description: Manages the TEMPEST program for the Space Launch Delta 45 and mission partners.
- →Develops procedures and enforces directives governing communication and computer systems.
- →Designs and recommend solutions to resolve complex issues arising from unusual mission requirements.
- →Ensures appropriate countermeasures are in place to deny classified information captured in radiated signals at the least possible cost.
- →Perform initial assessments of new computer and telecommunications equipment and facilities to identify the level of control(s) required.
- →Accomplishes reassessments of existing systems as required or upon any change of equipment or operating environment.
- →Coordinates with the Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA) for clarification of requirements and final approval.
- →Develops and delivers periodic TEMPEST training to units/organizations supported.
- →Ideal Candidate: Has existing Security + Certification, in-residence TEMPEST training, and two years' experience highly preferred.
- →Incumbents must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance.
- →Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- →This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.
- →Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions present a clear threat to the mission of the Space Force, national security, and public safety.
