Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below to view Eligibilities being considered and other IMPORTANT information. The primary purpose of this position is to provide maintenance of the cyberspace base cable infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- →Performs maintenance on base owned communications cable, installations of OSP and ISP cable/wiring systems and may be appointed as government Quality Assurance Personnel (QAP) to monitor contractor performance and quality of installed communication systems.
- →Provides for planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or administration of network systems.
- →Uses test equipment to locate faults such as, but not limited to, opens, transpositions, shorts, crosses and grounds in cables and makes repairs as necessary.
- →Performs scheduled Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMls) and unscheduled maintenance and repair on various type antennas (including but not limited to), UHF/VHF, Rotatable Log Periodic (RLP) and OMNI-directional antenna systems.
- →Performs other duties as assigned.
