THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (FLEET MGMT), Position Description Number T5799500 and is part of the169 LRS, South Carolina Air National Guard.
What You'll Do
- →***This is a Title 5 National Guard Employee position description. **This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)" This position is located in an Air National Guard (ANG), Mission Support Group, Logistics Readiness Squadron, Vehicle Management.
- →The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Vehicle Fleet Manager for host and subordinate units; ensuring the efficient and effective utilization and maintenance of vehicles and equipment (i.e., refueling vehicles, fire trucks, materiel handling equipment, de-icing, snow removal, aircraft towing, tactical, construction equipment, and DOMOPS vehicles).
- →Incumbent performs preliminary planning, long term scheduling, managing maintenance production, and conducting analysis.
- →Analyzes and reviews reports and statistical data from subordinate functions and other sources for the purpose of evaluating overall maintenance program status or identifying exception, trend, or problems areas.
Requirements
- ✓Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - Completion of 2 academic years of education in an accredited college or university will satisfy the requirements for GS-4 positions.
- ✓Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement.
- ✓One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience for GS-5 positions.
