The incumbent serves as the Supervisory Program Analyst - Community Care Network Manager for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veteran Health Administration. The Supervisory Program Analyst position provides support and required oversight to the Community Care department at two Campuses. This includes planning, directing and managing the integration of medical administrative and clinical support actitives as they relate to the efficient processing of Community Care.
What You'll Do
- →The Supervisory Program Analyst serves as the Community Care Network Manager and reports directly to the Chief of the Business Office.
- →The incumbent provides support and required oversight to the Community Care departments at two Campuses.
- →As the Supervisory Program Analyst the incumbent provides technical and adminstrative supervision to a unit composed of 10 direct reports and second level supverision to over 60 employees.
- →Duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Oversees the daily operation of the unit, ensures that agency policies and priorities are being followed; develops performance standards; and evaluates work performance of subordinates.
- →Establishes procedures to meet accreditation standards and consistently monitors to ensure services provided meet nationally accepted standards and are maximally cost effective.
- →Analyzes, evaluates, and advises on the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organizations, space and manpower utilization, management controls, information and documentation systems and similar functions of management.
- →Responsible for developing and maintaining functioning compliance and business integrity monitors and submitting the results in a timely basis to the Chief of the Business Office.
- →Interpreting national policies and procedures, developing, and implementing local standards, defining requirements, and providing advice to top management on related issues.
- →Develops the need for and maintains awareness of available resources throughout the Eastern Oklahoma Healthcare System making recommendations to the Chief of the Business Office regarding needs, distribution or redistribution of resources.
- →Full authority for the Community Care fund control points which are budgeted for an excess of 100 million dollars.
- →Responsible to provide effective planning direction for their program by taking the initiative to identify needs and potential issues/concerns, deciding flexibilities in operations and constructive cost-effective approaches to the resolution of problems.
- →Responsible for assessing the equipment needs of the section, for tracking life expectancy of current equipment inventories, and preparing equipment requests.
- →Performs other duties as assigned.
- →Work Schedule: 0800 TO 1630 Monday- Friday Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies.
