This position is part of the WAPA-SNR-Sierra Nevada Region. As a Supervisory Power System Dispatcher (AGC), you will provide technical support to a power system dispatch function and provide program direction and supervision in a Western Area Power Administration customer region.
What You'll Do
- →As a Supervisory Power System Dispatcher, you will: Implement written operating plans, standards, and procedures to be followed in connection with the operation of the power system.
- →Assure the effective and efficient control and operation of the system for the generation and delivery of capacity and energy to customers in coordination with interconnected utilities.
- →Collaborate with different planning units to ensure dispatchers accurately post available transfer capability on the applicable OASIS.
- →Collaborate with the Bureau of Reclamation and/or Corps of Engineers to plan and control daily power system operations, meeting objectives for power, water releases, and delivery based on load and water schedules.
- →Provide advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
- →Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets, and adjusts short-term priorities, prepares schedules for completion of work.
- →Responsible for the preparation and reconciliation of required daily, monthly and annual operating and data reports.
