The primary purpose of this position is to perform the duties as the Director of the Operations and Maintenance Flight for the 502 Civil Engineer Squadron and to exercise technical and administrative supervision over subordinate supervisors and workers in accomplishing trades and labor work for facility maintenance on real property and real property installed equipment.
What You'll Do
- →Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the 502 Civil Engineer Squadron.
- →Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and 502 CES objectives.
- →Establishes, revises, or reviews policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the staff, as necessary to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building, implement quality improvements, or in response to concerns with regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements.
- →Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- →Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors.
- →Advises staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives of higher level management or headquarters.
- →Selects candidates for subordinate non-supervisory positions and recommends selections for subordinate supervisory positions taking into consideration skills and qualifications, and mission requirements.
- →Represents 502 CES with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
- →Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with the Air Base Wing and base level organizations.
- →Meets with key customers and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolves significant problems that arise.
- →Reviews, understands, and authorizes designs, plans and lays out work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, guides, engineering data and building codes.
- →Reviews minor construction and measured work orders effecting systems, parts and assemblies to be repaired, replaced, installed or modified on complicated plumbing and structural equipment.
- →Visits work site and analyzes, evaluates and determines damage and approves corrective measures required when planning repairs or modification projects.
- →Administers the computerized Preventative Mechanical Program (PM).
