This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity, Defense Personnel Analytics Center. The incumbent will be responsible for supervising a team of analysts responsible for evaluating and improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and applicability of data analytics for measuring and improving the DoW's understanding of its manpower and various related topics.
What You'll Do
- →This position is being filled under the memorandum from the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (USD(P&R)) "Expansion of Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense," dated October 15, 2021.
- →As a Supervisory Operations Research Specialist at the GS-1515-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Plan, assign, and evaluate the work of a team of analysts, setting and adjusting short-term priorities and schedules.
- →Oversee and personally perform complex data analytics, including modeling, discovering insights, and identifying patterns in large datasets.
- →Design and build user-focused analytics and decision-support tools to inform senior leadership and policy analysts.
- →Manage research portfolios, ensuring alignment with customer priorities and capacity for rapid response to emerging requirements.
- →Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to subordinates; identify and arrange for staff training and development.
