This position is located in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR), with one vacancy in Silver Spring, MD.
What You'll Do
- →As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, you will perform the following duties: Serve as the Deputy Chief of Staff for the Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR).
- →Serve as an advisor to Senior Leadership and ensure organizational focus remains on leadership priorities.
- →Coordinate decision-making across OAR offices and solve complex issues by identifying and making actionable recommendations to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- →Supervise the planning, coordination, and direction of actions that support organizational goals and objectives.
- →Schedule deadlines and priorities, while reviewing work products for adequacy, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
- →Communicate complex information effectively, both orally and in writing, with diverse stakeholders ranging from senior leadership to junior staffers.
- →Provide direct staff supervision and internal coordination.
- →Standardize recruitment, retention, and develop strategies to hire and retain qualified employees.
- →Supervise subordinates by planning and distributing work, setting short and long-term priorities, and preparing schedules.
- →Streamline production by implementing process improvements that increase work quality and output.
Requirements
- ✓This position will be filled under the DOC Alternative Personnel System (CAPS).
- ✓Under CAPS, positions are classified by career, pay plan, and pay band.
- ✓The ZA-4 is equivalent to the GS-13/14.
- ✓Key Requirements: Applicants must be U.S.
- ✓Suitable for Federal employment, as determined by background investigation.
