This position is located on the Field Operations Staff of the Deputy Administrator for Field Operations (DAFO), Personnel Policy and Operations Division (PPOD), County Operations Branch. This position serve as a Branch Chief within the Deputy Administrator for Field Operations (DAFO), Personnel Policy & Operations Division (PPOD), providing oversight, policy expertise, and management of administrative and a full range of human resources functions for Title 7 County Office Employees.
What You'll Do
- →The incumbent serves as a Title 7 County Employment system expert to national, state and county offices regarding FSA DAFO human resources-related matters, policies, regulations, and practices for FSA Title 7 County Office Employees.
- →Provides program implementation, policy interpretation support and supervision of the processing and staffing teams for the administration of Farm Service Agency’s Title 7 county employees.
- →Directs activities designed to ensure that new and revised policies and procedures are understood and properly applied in the field for the Title 7 county employment system Uses expert skills to provide recommendations for budgeting and fiscal management, strategic planning, and agency internal controls systems for Title 7 County Employment.
- →Designs, implements, and directs evaluations of State and county office administrative and program operations for Title 7 county employees Develops and recommends appropriate changes to improve operations within the Branch.
- →Provides supervisory and leadership support for the Deputy Administrator for Field Operations, Personnel Policy and Operations Division, County Operations Branch.
- →Defines and establishes balanced performance measures, metrics, targets, and associated monitoring, data collection, and reporting processes for State, and county office employees Directs activities involving management of human resource program functional responsibilities for FSA’s State and County Office employees related to the county employment system.
- →Oversees the recruitment and talent management for County Office employees.
- →Directs the branch activities for Title 7 county employment, involving examination, recruitment, selection, qualifications, placement, transfer, promotion, separation, and oversight of the application (continued on next line) and interpretation of standards, rules, regulations, and procedures.
