The Office of Acquisition and Logistics (OAL) supports America's Veterans and families by delivering acquisition, logistics, and supply chain business solutions that provide better outcomes and harness technology to assure quality support/services for the VA multi-billion dollar acquisition mission. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a supervisor, program manager and advisor to the Director, Logistics & Supply Chain Management.
What You'll Do
- →***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*** Duties include, but are not limited to: Assigning work based on mission priorities, requirements of assignments, and capabilities of employees.
- →Ensures timely performance of work and objective standards are met.
- →Working in collaboration with the Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) Director directing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of assigned program.
- →Ensuring informatics and analytics work products are actionable, accurate, relevant, consistent, timely, organized, meaningful and can with stand scrutiny from oversight bodies.
- →Developing and implementing acquisition and logistics management policies and procedures to integrate the Department's overarching framework with related business management systems, to include internal and external stakeholders.
- →Advising senior leaders and teams on program management policies and problem solving.
- →Implementing, coordinating, and overseeing the planning, programming, budgeting, logistics, and acquisition issues in support of specific VA programs.
- →Evaluating broad policy guidance and how it is administered to assigned programs to ensure that organizational strategic goals are sufficiently resourced, and missions are effectively achieved.
- →Assisting the Director with analysis of business processes and budget impacts of new/revised/pending legislation, logistics policies and procedures.
- →Developing and implementing proactive customer relations to ensure unity of effort and delivery of quality products and services within the framework of specific programs.
- →Supervising and collaborating on VA-wide and inter-related Other Government Agencies (OGA) projects to ensure program objectives are achieved and provide conflict resolution when issues arise.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm EST.
- →Location: The selectee will be required to report on-site at 810 Vermont Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20420.
- →Telework: Available - Ad Hoc telework (situational telework) as determined by the agency policy.
