This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA-White House Communications Agency (WHW920).
What You'll Do
- →Provides oversight and manages all Information Technology (IT), Voice over IP (VoIP), Voice and Video networked and networking infrastructure.
- →Performs as an expert IT Specialist in number specialty areas to include policy and planning, security, systems analysis, applications software, operating systems, network services, data management, systems administration, and customer support.
- →Oversees all Voice system cabling/maintenance and the operation and management of all non-secure and secure communications end-user equipment to include, but not limited to: phones, meeting points, video access points, switches, modems and cabling.
- →Designs, tests, and implements modern IT security and connectivity standards based upon industry best practice and customer requirements.
- →Participates in the development and coordination of memoranda concerning implementation of DOD, Joint Staff or applicable Agency maintenance policy.

- ✓There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-15 grade level.
