This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information Technology (OIT), Connectivity and Collaboration Services (CCS), Core Network Services (CNS) responsible for enterprise transport, WAN/LAN infrastructure connectivity, telecommunications provisioning, and lifecycle execution supporting VA nationwide operations.
What You'll Do
- →OIT Mission: The mission of the Office of Information and Technology (OIT) is to collaborate with our business partners to create the best experience for all Veterans.
- →OIT Vision: To become a world-class organization that provides a seamless, unified Veteran experience through the delivery of state-of-the-art technology.
- →Major Duties: Provides technical and administrative leadership and expertise for the management, analysis, design, and development, to provide a wide range of IT management activities including but not limited to various aspects of IT.
- →Supervises a staff of Information Technology Specialists performing policy, planning, systems administration, operating systems, Internet, network services, data management, security, applications software, systems analysis and customer support functions.
- →Develops work plans for the Network IT Tower and manages the overall work to enhance achievement of the goals and objectives.
- →Performs administrative and managerial activities required to administer and direct the full range of program responsibilities within Infrastructure Engineering and Provisioning divisions.
- →This is a non-bargaining unit eligible position.

- →Physical Demands: The work is primarily sedentary, but there may be occasional walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items.
