About the Role

This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information Technology (OIT), Connectivity and Collaboration Services (CCS), Core Network Services (CNS) responsible for enterprise transport, WAN/LAN infrastructure connectivity, telecommunications provisioning, and lifecycle execution supporting VA nationwide operations.

What You'll Do

  • →Major duties include but not limited to: Provides technical and administrative leadership and expertise for the management, analysis, design, and development, to provide a wide range of IT management activities including but not limited to various aspects of IT.
  • →Supervises a staff of Information Technology Specialists performing policy, planning, systems administration, operating systems, Internet, network services, data management, security, applications software, systems analysis and customer support functions.
  • →Develops work plans for the Network IT Tower and manages the overall work to enhance achievement of the goals and objectives.
  • →Performs administrative and managerial activities required to administer and direct the full range of program responsibilities within Infrastructure Engineering and Provisioning divisions.
  • →Promotion Potential: This position is at full performance level Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, Tour of duty may be subject to change based on organizational needs.
  • →Compressed/Flexible: Schedule available at the manager's discretion Telework: This position may be authorized for telework.
  • →Virtual: This is not a virtual position.

  • →Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office setting.
