This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Strategy, Policy, and Plans (PLCY), Cyber, Infrastructure, Risk, and Resilience (CIRR). Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.
What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Director leading the development and coordination of department-wide policy positions in these and related areas of CIRR responsibility in coordination with appropriate interagency and DHS stakeholders.
- →Serves as the senior representative in interagency and other working groups with other departments; foreign, state and local governments; the private sector; and academia and convenes subject matter experts to research, review, and report on sufficiency, implications of, and recommendations for cyber, cybersecurity, technology, and/or cyber-related risk or resilience policy.
- →Leads analysis of significant policy issues affecting organization, the private sector, international community, and state, local and tribal governments.
- →Communicates complex concepts, findings, and limitations into concise, plain language.
- →Leads integration of cyber, cybersecurity, technology, and/or cyber-related risk or resilience policy to support organizational requirements; reviews and analyzes new and proposed legislation, regulations, strategies, and national policy initiatives; and develops policy solutions to identified security and other impacts on existing organizational policies, strategies, programs and operations.
