About the Role

The Area Manager provides leadership and resource management (finance, human, and acquisition), leading the development and implementation strategy required to manage multiple area-wide IT End User Operations.

What You'll Do

  • →Major Duties: Identifies and resolves root causes of problems that degrade delivery of essential Information Technology services.
  • →Directs, reviews and participates in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of automated information systems and technical architectures in compliance with VA directives.
  • →Oversees IT management concept development that impact all IT business processes, operations, and strategies.
  • →Provides direction, leadership and mentoring to develop and foster the leadership and management skills of subordinate staff.
  • →Plans schedules, and carries out major projects concerned with the analysis and evaluation of programs or organizational effectiveness.
  • →Mastery of the application of a wide-range of qualitative and quantitative analytical and evaluation methods to identify and advise on IT programs to improve processes or mission performance.
  • →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
  • →Tour of duty may be subject to change based on organizational needs.
  • →Travel Required: Up to 25% travel may be required, as needed, for this position.
  • →Compressed/Flexible: As determined by the Agency Policy Telework: Adhoc telework may be authorized at management discretion.
