The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the NORAD and USNORTHCOM Cyber Operations Directorate (N&NC/J6), Operational Support Division (J68), Cybersecurity Assurance (CSA) Branch (J683).
What You'll Do
- →Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the N&NC J6 Cyber Assurance Branch ensuring that all governed information technologies comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. 2.
- →Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. 3.
- →Represents NORAD and USNORTHCOM with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. 4.
- →Serves as the N&NC Security Control Assessor (SCA)ensuring all governed information technologies comply with the DOD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- →Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all the families of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53A RMF Security Controls. 5.
- →Oversees information system Continuous Monitoring Program to assess and mitigate cybersecurity vulnerabilities with the purpose of reducing risks to N&NC governed systems.
