This vacancy is for a GS-2210-13, Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC) located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, OPERATING LOCATION-C5ISC ARCHITECTURE and STANDARDS BRANCH-PORTSMOUTH VA in PORTSMOUTH, Virginia.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC) and be responsible for leading IT teams.
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Providing test management and independent verification and validation (IV&V) services on IT systems.
- →Ensuring appropriate test, verification, and validation strategies are planned, and assessed with documented plans.
- →Establishing standard IT system testing processes, metrics, and toolset.
- →Maintaining the testing roadmap and coordinating testing resources for systems and services requiring verification and validation testing.
- →Advising management officials on independent verification and validation (IV&V) testing results.
- →Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position.
- →Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers Level I (FAC P/PM-I) or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position.
