This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as the Resident Engineer with responsibility for field and office engineering work associated with the construction program assigned to a Resident Office for the Engineering and Construction Operations Division.
What You'll Do
- →Provides management and engineering supervision of all construction activities throughout the state of Alaska.
- →As the Delegated Administrative Contracting Officer the incumbent is expected to independently make onsite technical and contractual decisions to attain project objectives in accordance with plans and guidelines.
- →Performs duties of the Resident Office Representative for groups such as agency representatives; installation commanders, their representatives; state/local environmental agencies/groups; Federal agencies; A-E design firms.
- →Administers the District's safety program within the Resident Office.
- →Ensures compliance with the contractor's quality control programs, and reviews safety plans for compliance with applicable specifications and manuals.
