About the Role
Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Supervisory Interdisciplinary Engineer. You can make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment. Duty Location: Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Basin Region, Engineering Service Office, Boulder City, NV. Opened to Department of Interior Employees. Full time telework or remote work NOT available.
What You'll Do
- →At the full performance level (GS-14) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Serves as technical advisor to the Regional Director, staff, and line officials of the Region with respect to design and construction activities performed for completion of work through regional solicitations/specifications.
- →Ensures sound engineering principles and practices are incorporated in the Region programs through coordination and planning with responsible program managers.
- →Administers and coordinates, utilizes subordinate supervisors to plan, schedule, assign, set and adjust short-term priorities for work activities for assigned staff of professional, technical and administrative personnel.
- →Represents the agency on highly controversial issues to develop support for water resources decisions and persuade others to accept particular actions, concepts, or approaches.
- →Supervises through subordinate supervisors, the activities of the Office.
Requirements

- ✓You must be suitable for federal employment, determined by a background investigation.

- ✓You will be required to provide a valid Professional Engineer's License.
- ✓You will be required to submit to a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment as a condition of employment.
- ✓This position is also subject to random drug testing.
- ✓You will be required to obtain and maintain an appropriate Federal Acquisitions Certification (FAC) level and to hold and maintain Contracting Officer Representative (COR) credentials to serve as COR as a condition of employment.
