About the Role

Joining the Secret Service, Office of the Deputy Director, Advanced Threat Interdiction Unit, will allow you to be responsible for providing executive leadership and strategic oversight for national and international intelligence, analytics, and threat interdiction operations. What You'll Do

  • The selectee will serve as a Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist (Threat Interdiction) in the Office of the Deputy Director, Advanced Threat Interdiction Unit.
  • Typical work assignments include: Providing executive direction on intelligence operations and analytics, ensuring all activities are strategically aligned with priorities.
  • Conducting critical reviews of program initiatives and recommending actions for integrating these initiatives into operational projects.
  • Overseeing the execution of intelligence operations to detect, assess, and interdict imminent threats to protectees and venues, ensuring national and international impact.
  • Directing the development and deployment of advanced intelligence methodologies, collection systems, and analytic tools for threat identification and interdiction.
  • Directing supervisors responsible for staff primarily performing protective intelligence research impacting the Secret Service's protective mission.
  • Exercising final authority for the full range of personnel actions, policy, and organizational design proposals recommended by subordinate supervisors.
  • Overseeing the development and application of advanced analytic models, threat assessment frameworks, and decision-support products; establishing standards for analytic rigor, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Citizenship is required.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

  • Submit to a (Full-Scope or Counterintelligence (CI)) polygraph examination prior to your appointment.
  • Subject to a one-year probationary period for supervisors/managers.
  • As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you may be required to serve a 1-year probationary period or 2-year trial period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
