About the Role

This position is responsible for assisting the VA ECHCS's Chief, as well as innovating community care planning efforts, development activities to include education, deployment and sustainment of clinical initiatives which impact access to care, clinical efficiency, revenue enhancement, retention of managed lives and cost containment while working with the Health Care System Executive Leadership Team to develop and implement both short and long-term clinical strategic goals, priorities and plans.

What You'll Do

  • Duties include, but are not limited to: Monitors/delegates (as needed) all projects and tasks to ensure they are completed by established deadlines.
  • Initiates/reviews/processes communications via email, phone, instant messaging, letters, etc. for internal and external customers.
  • All communication must be made with professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Coordinates and monitors the implementation of initiatives to expand or enhance health care programs.
  • Develops recommendations and/or makes decisions for operational plans, goals, and objectives using data, reports, and other analysis.
  • Influences stakeholders to accept and implement findings and recommendations on organizational improvement or program effectiveness.
  • Provides support to the Supervisor to monitor performance measures and manage change within the department.
  • Designs and conducts a wide variety of comprehensive and detailed analyses of complex functions and processes related to health programs.
  • Uses process improvement techniques and organizational skills to correlate and analyze statistical materials and facilitate change.
  • Uses all appropriate technology, computer systems, software programs, Microsoft Office programs, data systems, the internet, and other sources of data to provide reliable and up to date data to support decision-making tools and recommendations.
  • Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
  • Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 08:00AM - 04:30PM Telework: This position may be authorized for telework.
  • Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.
