About the Role

The Group Practice Manager ( GPM) at our VA Augusta Health Care System has several roles which includes the following : reports directly to the Deputy Director who provides broad policy guidance through discussion with the incumbent . The Group Practice Manager serves to ensure high- quality veteran experiences and provides oversight on administrative guidance to all clinics and clinical services in VA Augusta Health Care System such as Primary Care, Mental Health ,and Specialty Care .

What You'll Do

  • Major duties include, but not limited to: Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Develops both long and short-range policies , planning, and coordinating healthcare delivery programs and administrative initiatives across the medical center Coordinating implementation of healthcare initiatives, expansion efforts, workflow redesign projects, and executive priorities; monitoring milestones and reporting outcomes.
  • Providing consultation and guidance to service chiefs and administrative leadership to strengthen business operations, analytical capability, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Exercises supervisory authorities and responsibilities such as work performance , reviews, and develops work improvement plans Participating in and advancing short- and long-range strategic planning efforts aligned with facility priorities and directives from the Veterans Health Administration.
  • The incumbent acts a liaison of the Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff in meetings, workgroups, and engagements with internal stakeholders, VISN leadership, community partners, and Veteran Service Organizations.
  • The Group Practice Manager assists the executive leadership team and fiscal officer with budgetary controls and planning input .
  • Implements a continuous program of performance improvement with respect to the maximizing customer service and overall patient experience Promotion Potential: Position is a full performance level with no promotion potential , Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
