This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Incumbent serves as the Director, Directorate of Public Works exercising full authority for management and operation decisions related to engineering and environmental activities, and overall Directorate of Public Works.
What You'll Do
- →Directs, monitors and reviews facilities engineering projects from conception to execution.
- →Detects and minimizes potential conflicts between command activities and regulating agencies to minimize adverse impacts upon the Army.
- →Serves as construction inspector and inspects contract work, comparing progress to approved schedules in relationship to contract requirements and existing conditions.
- →Maintains a log data showing current status of all active projects.
- →Serves as first level supervisor for Engineer Services Section.
- →Submits and reviews Real Property Master Plan reports for Military Construction Army (MCA) and Military Construction Army reserve (MCAR) for submission to higher headquarters.
