This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position:The Supervisory General Engineer, GS-0801-14 serves as the Director, Directorate of Public Works exercising full authority for management and operation decisions related to engineering and environmental activities, housing and overall DPW logistical support activities.
What You'll Do
- →Oversee the administration and management of the base support contract for engineering, housing, and logistical activities.
- →Provide Real Property management services to include housing and facility construction and operation, maintenance and repair services.
- →Provide advice and assistance to the Garrison Commander, and top management officials of installation and tenant activities on matters pertaining to logistical, housing and environmental activities.
- →Implement controls to assure changes to projects reflect commitments to customers/partners on cost, quality, and schedules.
- →Evaluate and interpret directives and policy instructions regarding assigned and proposed programs and makes recommendations on feasibility for accomplishment.
- →Administer the base support contract for engineering, housing and logistical activities.
- →As consultant to the Garrison Commander and installation authority on contract administration, provides final technical decisions concerning quality of services provided.
- →Supervise a staff of program and project managers, engineers, and administrative and support positions.
- →Approve the selection of candidates to fill vacant positions and establish performance standards.
- →Develop long-range organizational plans and goals.
- →Conduct periodic program review and analysis briefings to compare progress with objectives and established milestones.
- →Provide oversight of the largest General Officer/Flag Officer housing portfolio outside of the National Capital Region.
