You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER in the ENGINEERING AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT- 200 of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
What You'll Do
- →You will plan overall work operations, set priorities, and establish objectives with subordinate project engineers and teams.
- →You will evaluate the effectiveness of operations supervised in terms of mission accomplishment, quality and quantity standards, procedural, policy and regulatory compliance, and technical competence.
- →You will design, develop, initiate, monitor, assess and implement policies, programs, and controls which will enable the branch to have the capacity and capability needed to provide products and services in compliance with requirements.
- →You will establish annual goals, objectives, and budgets to administer workforce development programs.
- →You will report to division head with progress of each Engineering and Planning Dept (EPD) division in meeting goals and objectives.
- →You will exercise both administrative and technical supervision over subordinates for general engineering facilities work.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
