About the Role
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER for the Surface Weapons Technical Representative (TechRep) Office in Tucson, AZ. The TechRep Branch is administratively part of the WEAPON SYSTEMS INTEGRATED PRODUCTS DIVISION, WEAPONS AND ENERGETICS DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
What You'll Do
- →You will be responsible for technical and programmatic oversight of all programs in the STANDARD Missile Portfolio including Development, Production, Sustainment, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
- →You will coordinate technical hardware engineering, software engineering, firmware engineering, and systems engineering, along with programmatic and budgetary requirements for each of the STANDARD Missile programs.
- →You will monitor Production, increased production capacity, SM Road-map and technical insertion plan for development enhancements, and obsolescence strategies desired and directed by PEO IWS 3SM and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Program Management.
- →You will oversee the STANDARD Missile variants across their acquisition life-cycles, to include engineering and logistics support services.
- →You will provide mentoring to the project leads within the portfolio.
- →You will coordinate with PEO IWS, SM-6 Sponsors, industry, and Subject Matter Experts to identify lifecycle, Financial Management Systems, and fielding issues, delivering cost-effective and timely solutions.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
