This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as the Chief of the Operations and Maintenance Division within USAG-Ansbach. Responsible for the planning, programming, coordinating, supervising, monitoring and executing of the buildings and grounds, and utilities functions for the installation.
What You'll Do
- →Designs and prepares drawings, specifications and cost estimates for service contracts.
- →Coordinates designs with using agency and DPW elements.
- →Plans work of subordinates to include establishing priorities and assigns work based on priorities and capabilities.
- →Approves leave and schedules vacations to assure accomplishment of assigned workloads.
- →Performs engineering inspections, develops technical documentation, and prepares analytical reports on the condition of real property.
- →Conducts staff assistance visits and provides technical engineering guidance to the operation and maintenance division personnel in the implementation of repair and maintenance programs and the operation of utilities systems.
- →Provides advice and information on current and future programs and conducts or attends meetings pertaining to incumbent's area of responsibility.
- →Provides supporting documentation for recommendations changing plans in view of existing and projected capabilities and needs.
- →Identifies budgetary funds and establishes work management programs.
