You will serve as the Director of the Facility Management & Sustainment Division of the NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND ATLANTIC Public Works Directorate.
What You'll Do
- →You will oversee the overall planning, direction, and timely delivery of numerous products and services within the division.
- →You will ensure high quality work is on time, within cost constraints, and to the customer's satisfaction whether in-house or by contract.
- →You will analyze command performance indicators to determine trends and predict future requirements or process changes.
- →You will ensure the division is in compliance with regulations and accomplished within performance criteria.
- →You will conduct meetings to higher level military and civilian managers on various facility engineering topics.
- →You will supervise and direct a cross-functional team to deliver a broad range of products and services to customers.
Requirements
- ✓In addition to the above specialized experience and professional registration requirements, you must also possess the following basic education requirements: Applicants for the Professional Engineering Series must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
- ✓Applicants for the Professional Architecture Series must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a bachelor's or higher degree in architecture.
- ✓OR Have a combination of college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the arts and sciences underlying professional architecture, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the architectural principles, methods, and techniques and their applications to the design and construction or improvement of buildings.
- ✓The curriculum for a degree is in either architecture or architectural engineering and covers function, esthetics, site, structure, economics, mechanical-electrical, and other engineering problems related to the design and construction of buildings primarily (but not exclusively) intended to house human activities.
- ✓OR You lack a degree in architecture but have 1 year of experience in an architect's office or in architectural work for each year short of graduation from a program of study in architecture that demonstrates that you have acquired a thorough knowledge of the fundamental principles and theories of professional architecture.
