About the Role
This position resides in a Field Office of the National Labor Relations Board. The incumbent serves as the Resident Officer in a major metropolitan center within a Region, with the responsibility for the processing of unfair labor practice and representation cases arising within the assigned geographic area, including investigation, analysis, informal disposition, settlement negotiation, compliance, and other formal and informal case processing.
What You'll Do
- →Assuring that all cases are handled in accordance with basic statutory requirements, as well as, in accordance with policies, precedents, regulations and procedures established by the Board, the General Counsel, and the Regional Director.
- →Participating with staff supervisors and individual Field Examiners and Attorneys in conferences with parties of cases in an attempt to obtain voluntary settlement of issues, or to obtain withdrawal of charges or petitions.
- →Reviewing reports and case files to determine investigation, case preparation and analysis, and propriety of recommendations for action or disposition.
