About the Role
This position is located at Defense Finance and Accounting Service- Texarkana, Texas. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as the Director of Finance for Defense Finance, supervising 3 branch chiefs (Disbursing, Vendor Pay/Travel, Payroll) and subordinates in the finance directorate providing financial services to over 170 customers.
- →Manages, directs and executes financial services for DoD and Army NAFIs.
- →Develops policies, coordinates, and performs all finance functions for serviced customers.
- →Analyzes policies and procedures to determine changes necessary to preclude recurrent of problems and issues related to all areas of the finance directorate.
- →Prepares comprehensive written reports and presents briefings and presentations at meetings and conferences.
- →Ensures continuing, affirmative application and support of DoD and DFAS policy concerning the equal opportunity and affirmative action programs.
