About the Role

This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). The principal objective of the OCFO is to provide assurance of the effective management and financial integrity of the program activities and resources carried out at the NLRB. The purpose of this position is to serve as Deputy CFO reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Deputy CFO assists the CFO in managing all CFO functions.

What You'll Do

  • As a Supervisory Financial Manager (Deputy Chief Financial Officer), GS-0505-15, your typical work assignments may include: Managing the financial reporting, internal controls and funding to improve program execution, promote increased efficiency of operations, and appropriate utilization of resources.
  • Accomplishing a wide range of complex professional tasks, with focus on the financial, budget, procurement, and travel management activities.
  • Using an inclusive and collaborative approach to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Providing leadership to branches on financial standards, processes, reporting requirements, funding, payroll, and other related financial, contracting, and budgetary requirements.
  • Leading and managing projects to "stand up" and optimize finance processes and procedures for various new business initiatives including digital transformation, business process re-engineering, and metrics.
