In this position you will serve as a supervisor in the Financial Management Division, Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO). This position is located in Winchester, VA. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in administrating a federal vendor/commercial payments program; or a government bank card program.
What You'll Do
- →What will I do in this position if hired?
- →In this position, you will serve in the FEMA Finance Center, providing day-to-day oversight and management of the assigned staff and serving as a senior analyst and advisor to the Division or Branch leadership on financial management operations in compliance with financial standards, laws, and regulations.
- →Typical assignments include: Performing the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised.
- →Determining the need to implement or amend financial management policies and procedures in response to OCFO directives, other federal agency regulations or legislative mandates to ensure compliance with or improvement to Agency directives.
- →Communicating, coordinating, and facilitating activities and solutions across a wide range of stakeholders with different perspectives, objectives, and levels of cooperation.

- →Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites.
- →All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description.
- →Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
