About the Role
This position is in the Bureau of the Comptroller and Global Financial Services (CGFS), Deputy Comptroller for Bureau Financial Support Services (BFSS), Management Financial Accounts (MFA), Office of Diplomatic Security Financial Services (DSFS). CGFS carries out the authorities and responsibilities of the Department's Chief Financial Officer and executes all matters relating to the Department's worldwide financial management operations.
What You'll Do
- →Develops and directs the management of the DS financial resources; serves as the expert and financial advisor to key officials in the allocation, management, and control of these resources.
- →Collaborates with senior program managers and staff within the assigned bureaus in forecasting workload and operational requirements for use in preparing budget estimates.
- →Develops and provides program guidance and instructions to the component organizational elements of the assigned bureaus on the preparation and justification of budget estimates.
- →Works with the Bureau of Budget and Planning (BP) and CGFS to ensure maximum efficiencies of budgetary and financial support services for DS and the programs for which these bureaus are responsible.
- →Provides budget, financial and program guidance and instructions to DS components for the development of estimates and justifications under the financial plan.
