If selected, you will be responsible for the physical operation of the New World Screwworm (NWS) Dispersal Facility (WSDF). In this capacity, the incumbent plans, coordinates, directs and monitors the maintenance, repair or modification of buildings, infrastructure, machinery, vehicles, roadways and grounds. The incumbent is also responsible for the direct technical and administrative supervision to a subordinate maintenance staff.
What You'll Do
- →The duties may include, but are not limited to: Designs, reviews and evaluates projects to ensure the facility’s industrial equipment and complex operating systems are functioning properly.
- →Monitors contractors’ performance during construction and maintenance/repair projects.
- →Coordinates the pest control program for the facility, including indoor pests and garden pests.
- →Assigns and reviews the work performed by the maintenance staff to ensure timely performance, soundness, and value.
- →Supervises the maintenance of records and preparation of reports on work-related injuries, illnesses, motor vehicle accidents, and other property damage.
- →Responsible for facility management functions encompassing operations, utilities, construction, remodeling, and maintenance.
