About the Role
This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs; position reports to Agency local leadership in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
What You'll Do
- →As Supervisory Engineering Technician (Petroleum), GS-0802, your typical work assignments may include, but not limited to: Plan, implement, and supervise the execution of the program planning operations, budgeting, major alterations and improvements, and common services consistent with recognized management principals within assigned jurisdiction.
- →Prepare and process a variety of documents such as reviewing and processing Application of Permits to Drill, review all non-petroleum mining permits for compliance.
- →Report, and control logs dealing with Leasing/Mining activities and monitoring and proved technical assistance.
- →Independently carry out predrilling well site resource inventories, inspections of oil and gas drilling and production operations and facilities are in compliance.
- →Make periodic field inspection during and after cleanup and may take soil and/or water samples to verify clean up activity.
- →Confer and work with mineral lessees in solving technical and procedural problems.
