Positions located in DOL, Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), Office of Technology and Survey Processing (OTSP), Division of Technology Measurement and Strategic Initiatives (DTMSI) provide support to BLS IT policy, IT contracts and training, and IT assessments and operating budgets. BLS measures labor market activity, working conditions, price changes, and productivity in the U.S. economy to support public and private decision making.
What You'll Do
- →DTMSI Branch of Strategic Services (BOSS) ensures BLS technology needs are met by managing the acquisition of IT hardware and software, performing procurement activities, supporting pre-award and post-award contracting actions, and coordinating IT budget development and execution.
- →Certified COR III Supervisory Program Analysts specializing in IT Budget/Contracting fulfill BOSS functions by: Overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, setting priorities, and ensuring work supports organizational goals.
- →Acquiring software through procurement and contracting strategies ensuring alignment with organizational needs.
- →Overseeing the development and execution of the IT operational budget, providing service-orientated support to program customers.
