About the Role
This position is located within the Office of Mission Acquisition Solutions (OMAS) under the Assistant Secretary for Financial Resources (ASFR), within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in Washington, District of Columbia. OMAS delivers enterprise Information Technology and Professional Services acquisitions across HHS and provides acquisition solutions in direct support of Office of the Secretary mission requirements, aligned to Department-wide priorities.
What You'll Do
- →Managing workload distribution across the team, ensuring effective prioritization and execution of competing acquisition requirements.
- →Operationalizing organizational strategies into executable acquisition plans aligned with OMAS mission and HHS enterprise priorities, including Procurement Alignment and Collaboration Taskforce (PACT).
- →Serving as a senior acquisition advisor to leadership and customers, providing guidance on acquisition strategy, risk management, and execution.
- →Overseeing the use of contract writing and acquisition systems (e.g., HCAS, PRISM, or equivalent) to ensure data accuracy and effective procurement execution.
- →Leading cost/price analysis, negotiations, and contract administration oversight for complex acquisitions.
- →Developing and leading a team executing complex acquisitions workforce capability through coaching, mentoring, and performance management of contracting staff.
- →Identifying operational challenges and implements process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
