About the Role
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.
What You'll Do
- →You will perform strategic community management for ACQ and overseeing and managing data collection requirements of NAVFAC and the Department of Navy.
- →You will provide advice and assistance to ACQ and Subordinate Commands (if applicable) pertaining to acquisition issues, problems, challenges, policies, and procedures.
- →You will be responsible to oversee planning, direction, and timely execution of business support for ACQ, reporting, as well as policy and procedure development and implementation based upon legislation and other changes.
- →You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
- →You will perform oversight and compliance, business documentation review, policy advice and direction, acquisition community leadership, and human capital planning for Acquisition (ACQ) and ACQ staff of Subordinate Commands.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following Basic Education Requirement of the Department of Defense Qualification Standard for Contracting Positions: A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees.
- ✓NOTE: The education requirement listed above applies only to individuals entering DoD GS-1102 positions on or after October 1, 2000.
- ✓Current civilian personnel in DoD who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000 are exempt from meeting this requirement.
- ✓Current military members who occupied a similar occupational specialty to the GS (or equivalent) 1102 or before September 30, 2000 are also exempt from meeting this requirement.
