About the Role
The NNSA Management and Budget team provides timely, cost-effective, and efficient administrative and financial support for NNSA Headquarters staff. The team designs and administers the corporate planning, programming, budgeting, and evaluation (PPBE) system, including supporting cost estimations and analysis of alternatives.
What You'll Do
- →As a Supervisory Budget Analyst, you will: Directs and performs federal budget formulation and execution activities, including preparing budget estimates, monitoring funds control, reviewing funding requests, and ensuring compliance with appropriations law and fiscal controls.
- →Analyzes complex budgetary, financial, and policy issues to identify risks, evaluate tradeoffs, and develop viable solutions and recommendations for management decision-making.
- →Prepares, reviews, and approves clear, technically sound written materials, including budget justifications, issue papers, decision memoranda, and formal responses for diverse audiences.
- →Represents the organization in budget meetings, briefings, and hearings to present, explain, and defend complex financial and policy information to senior leaders and external stakeholders.
- →Formally supervises and directs the work of subordinate staff, including planning and assigning work, evaluating performance, providing feedback, and supporting staff development.
- →Plans, coordinates, and evaluates complex, multi-stakeholder budget deliverables and processes, establishing timelines, tracking progress, and ensuring product quality under changing requirements.
Requirements
